APNY recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home

Allied Pediatrics of New York has been recognized by NCQA- The National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Patient Centered Medical Home. The NCQA seal is a widely recognized symbol of quality and is a reliable indicator that a medical practice is well-managed and delivers high quality care.

What is Patient Centered Medical Home?

The Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) is a health care setting that facilitates partnerships between individual patients and their personal physicians. The personal physician provides continuous and coordinated care throughout a patient’s lifetime to optimize health outcomes. Medical Home allows patients better access to healthcare, increased satisfaction with the care they receive and overall improved health.

Patients benefit because their care is proactive and coordinated. Care is coordinated among primary care providers, specialists and support services. This ensures the patients don't get frustrated trying to coordinate the many tests and differing opinions or compromise their health by missing opportunities to get the most effective care. Physicians benefit because coordinated care is a more efficient way of practicing medicine, meaning they could spend more time with their patients.

Allied Pediatrics of New York is a unified pediatric group comprised of many of the highest quality pediatricians. We are staffed by a team of over 80 physicians dedicated to providing coordinated, efficient, quality care in Long Island, New York City and the Hudson Valley. We have recently begun to implement an electronic medical record and have expanded our locations to include Westchester and Orange Counties.
